Okay, if you’ve followed my posts a little (and certain imagery I’ve posted), you notice I make certain attacks at the US, it’s government, and they way it does things. However, I don’t mention enough that I do in fact carry a much larger hatred for my very own country. Mostly, it’s due to the fact that it’s filled with asshats that peruse the internet spamming hotlinks to their images on Norway’s equivilant of HotOrNot, begging for 10-pointers, and that alone is enough to make my blood fucking curdle.
Another very very good reason, is the fact that my own country’s government is riddled with hypocrisy, christian socialism and general beaurocrap. Our nation is this year, like the previous 4 (!!), training Iraqi officers in a small place called J?tta. Now, this year I guess it makes sense, since these would be sponsored by the USA and our prime minister spreads for GWB. But the previous 4 years we’ve been doing it? What the fuck?!
And the fact that our nation, “as part of making Norway a more healthy nation”, send Alcohol, petrol and tobacco taxes up up up like it’s the space shuttle, I get more and more confused. If they wanted a healthier nation, with less alcohol and smoke addiction, and less pollution of the environment, they would ban all of the above. I’m talking if that was really their concern. Once again, our prime minister personifies christian socialist stupidity. As much as I have to say positively about socialism (I’d pay $400 a year to go to University, and I’d have better teachers than ANY American College/Uni), paying $8 for the gallon to bloat our countries $10billion oil fund, which is not touched at all until “harder times” befall our nation, doesn’t make sense to me. We COULD feasibly use that to feed and clothe homeless, get those god damn druggies off the street (seriously, walk in Oslo you can’t take 5 steps without tripping over a heroin addict), or whatever.
Norway sucks. Not as much as Sweden, we have higher wages and we can temporarily emmigrate there for cheap tobacco and alcohol, but it still sucks. I need a “Get Jay out of this socialist nightmare”-fund or something.

At the time of writing this, I’ve used 24281.77 Megabytes of bandwidth, and I cap at 25000. I’d say that’s pretty good math, considering we’re nearing the end of the month. Still means I have to upgrade though, and I’m getting kinda strapped for cash at the moment, so I should probably look more seriously into google-ads or something like that.
Anyways, when that is done, I’ll get back to doing what I do best; plowing the internet for counter-productivity!

First off, FLCL. This anime series is probably an acquired taste. If you’re a big fan of the .hack// series, you’ll definately hate this. However, if you are like me and thought “My god the inane drivel and longwinded tedious dialogue!” while watching the .hack// series, you’ll love this. There’s apparently a story to it, but it’s so fast paced, and so random, I haven’t been able to catch it all yet. And really, that’s what makes it so great. It’s one of those series you should watch 3-4 times.
Since I can’t really compare it to other anime series, I’ll bring up The Naked Gun. Hilarious, random, so fast paced you have to watch it a good couple of times to get all the humor. But if you’re no big on randomness, avoid this. I still recommend it though. Once again a killer DVD OGM rip by AXP.

So I just started playing Fallout again, because I ran out of other things to play, and I had forgotten how much these games fucking own. For those ignorant to what Fallout is, it’s a post-nuclear Role Playing Game by the KINGS of RPG, Black Isle (Also responisble for Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment and others). I just realized how hard it is to come up with something new, and I’ve almost stopped criticizing things because it’s unoriginal. Everything has already been done, it’s just fucking ridiculous. I was about to rant about how people are suggestible fucktards, but then I found out Maddox had already done that with his Sideways thing. How fucking ironic is that?
In 10 years time, entertainment as we know it will be dead, and everything shown on TV will be re-runs. Although this is partially true already, atleast there is SOME new material surfacing every so often. Amusingly, the latest season of The Simpsons has turned out to be the best one yet (imo). But that’s hardly enough.
Internet entertainment is amusing to some extent, and you get to select your poison moreso than on a TV, but the MPAA is frantically trying to stop that (thepiratebay says GG btw), and the satirical literature that exists, although still amusing, tends to get a bit… tedious and repetitive after a while.

I made a batch file renamer that does padding zeroes, so the order in which images are shown here, and in the PHP image viewing template script, is now more logical.

I started watching Samurai Champloo a while ago, and frankly this may the the coolest non-serious anime ever.
It’s set to Edo-Japan, when there was Samurais and shit about. So it’s really funny when some of these samurais start breakdancing and beatboxing pretending their swords are microphones…
In Edo, two warriors have met for the first time. One is named Mugen, a dirty, back alley fighter with a chip on his shoulder. The other is Jin, a refined and elegant ronin who goes out of his way to do the right thing.
Like oil and water, the two of them don’t mix well. From the moment they meet, the only thing they want to do is kick each others asses. When fate intervenes in the form of a corrupt government official and a cute waitress named Fuu, the two men put their differences aside to help Fuu find a mysterious samurai who “smells like sunflowers”.
They just have to survive long enough to do so.
This has got to be the hippest show ever to come out of Japan. Credit is due largely to Chief Scriptwriter Shinji Obara and director Shinichiro Watanabe. A groovy blend of snappy banter and intense action, the staff takes the tired “Samurai-anime” genre and gives it a much needed face lift.
In the first episode, they flat out tell you they don’t care that it’s a work of fiction, and that those looking for historical accuracy had best step back. How they are not afraid to have the dialogue sound like something 20th century street punks would say, despite being set in Edo period Japan. I could talk in-depth about it’s smart ass vibe, but I’m not gonna.
Maybe it would be better to talk about the main characters. How Mugen and Jin are such bad asses, you know that anyone who fights them is going to get messed up. We can look at why they are more concerned about fighting each other instead of joining forces to fight evil. We can look at how in the modern age, these two men would be rival gang leaders, instead of wondering fighters. Sure, we could look at the very yin and yang relationship between these two men, but I’m not in the mood.
I can say a few words about the animation. It’s smooth, highly detailed, and the cg elements are blended perfectly with the traditional animation. There is a fluidness to the animation, it’s almost like water. The quality is so good, “Samurai Champloo” looks like it should be a movie, not a TV series. The costume designs are an interesting blend of modern and medieval styles, emphasizing its street warfare attitude. On second thought, forget about it.
While I don’t give a crap, the DVD is going to be loaded with some cool swag. Not only is there a Japanese and English 5.1, there is a Japanese DTS 5.1, so all you audiophreaks can get your groove on. You get the “battlecry” opening music video and the original teaser trailer. It’s going to be presented in 16×9 anamorphic wide screen, so your plasma can get a much needed work out. Well, at least that’s what the box says.
Seriously, Samurai Champloo is going to be the #1 title of 2005. Its smart ass attitude, smooth animation, and tough characters make this anime a worthy successor to the phenomenal “Cowboy Bebop”. If you don’t get this series the minute it hits the shelves, I will personally kick your ass!

So, while browsing for new shit to download, I came across something called “Sex Warrior Pudding”. I really had no clue what it was, but with a name like that, I stand by the notion that NO ONE can blame me for downloading it.
It turned out to be hentai. Although I was sort of disappointed after having expected something like dogs chasing cars fading to pudding-intercourse fading to fatal battles between oranges and cheese (or something like that), it turned out to be fucking hilarious anyway. Now, it’s raw cap, unsubbed, so I couldn’t catch all that much of the dialogue, but apparently there is a band of Fast Food Waitresses that battle perverted random gropers of women when it’s called upon to do so.
Of course the plot and dialogue is not what carries this thing anyway, but the part where they launch people having sex to battle sexual perverts (literally, launch. Like unFunF *click* huh? *FWOOOOM* launch), is just… Well I never laughed that hard in a loooong time.
If someone can direct me to a subbed version of this thing, I will be mondo happy.
